Webinar “Digital bleat” about digital growing up

The content of the webinar “Digital bleat” within the series “Digital Immunity – from digital soother to digital rebel” were focused on the age between 11 and 15 years. During the discussion, the following topics were covered:

▪ What do our children do online and how do they behave on social media: who do they follow, who do they hang out with and what do they talk about?

▪ Do you talk to your children about online activities and in what way?

▪ Are you an adequate interlocutor for your children?

▪ Do you follow each other on social networks?

▪ Do you know all forms of digital violence?

Participants were actor Nebojša Milovanović, Maja Zarić from Ministry of Culture and Information – Head of the Sector for Information and Media and Ana Mirković, director of the Institute for Digital Communications and expert for digital communications on the EU project “Support to Media Reforms.” The moderator was Dragan Ilić, a journalist and psychologist. A short interview with Branko Krsmanović from the Start Up Center / Gaming Center in Niš was broadcast, which served for further discussion.

The series of webinars “Digital immunity – from digital soother to digital rebel” is organized by the EU Info Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia and the EU project “Support to Media Reforms”. With this series, we want to think together about how young people mature in the digital environment, to expand the knowledge and skills of media literacy of parents so that they can actively participate in the digital life of the young population.

The topics of the webinars are based on the Handbook on Media Literacy for Pre-University Education for Teachers and Professional Associates, prepared by the Ministry of Culture and Information with the EU project “Support to Media Reforms”.
